Dar a Luz is an expression in Spanish for childbirth. Literally, it means "to give or to bring into the light." I am a RN and I have a passion for working with mothers and their babies, before, during and after childbirth. My vision for this project was to create a collection of photos taken while working and traveling through Central America, with the hope of bringing hope and light to medically under-served communities.
All of the artwork is for sale. All of the profits are sent back to the community where the photo was taken. Photos can be purchased as a print or with custom framing. All requests can be made to me at emwelton@gmail.com
Emily,
ReplyDeleteReally nice work. I saw your show at the coffee shop on Murphy Road and was really impressed. Your travels sound fascinating. There was one photo that you had posted (a 4x6 I think) on a little info board. It is of a woman on the right hand side and a ladder in the background. Is that photo/print for sale?
